We are looking for an experienced Clinical Systems Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management and support of multiple NHS healthcare systems. This position involves fulfilling change requests, supporting the commissioning and decommissioning of service contracts, resolving tickets escalated from the service desk, and providing on-site support for hardware and software, especially focusing on clinical systems such as TPP Systm One, EMIS Web, PACS, ERS, IEP, ICE, and other relevant clinical products.
Main duties of the job
- Clinical Systems Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of various clinical systems used within the NHS. Ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of clinical systems. Handle and fulfill change requests for clinical systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system changes efficiently.
- Service Contract Management: Support the commissioning and decommissioning of service contracts related to clinical systems. Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless service transitions.
- Site Support: Support the IT team with on-site IT support of Hardware/Software, Medical Device configuration such as Ultrasound and Echo cardio machines.
- Ticket Resolution: Provide advanced support to the Service Desk by handling escalated tickets related to clinical systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
- Support During Peak Periods: Collaborate with IT Administrators during peak periods to answer calls and address urgent issues. Provide support to IT Support Analysts for on-site assistance with hardware and software issues.
- Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with IT teams to ensure the integration and alignment of clinical systems with broader IT infrastructure. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Clinical Systems Administrator or in a similar role within the healthcare sector.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical systems such as TPP Systm One, EMIS Web, PACS, ERS, IEP, and other relevant healthcare products.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in supporting service contracts and managing change requests.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require occasional evening or weekend work to address critical issues or system updates.
