We are seeking a skilled IT Administrator to join our IT support team as the first line of contact on our newly created Service Desk. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing initial technical support, monitoring the incident management system, and actively participating in various IT administrative tasks, including user account management, equipment coordination, system health monitoring, audits, and system administration.
Responsibilities
- First Line IT Support
- Act as the first point of contact, providing initial support to end‑users.
- Respond to user queries and incidents through phone, email, and in‑person channels.
- Monitor the incident management system, log and update incidents, and ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to higher‑level support as needed.
- User Account Management
- Create and remove user accounts on various systems as per organisational requirements.
- Manage password resets on multiple systems and ensure security protocols are followed.
- IT Equipment Coordination
- Coordinate IT equipment deliveries for new hires and office expansions.
- Arrange the return of IT equipment for offboarding employees.
- System Health Monitoring
- Monitor system health and performance to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure optimal system.
- IT Audits
- Conduct regular IT audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to IT audits.
- System Administration
- Administer multiple systems, including software applications and tools.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Working Conditions
This role may require occasional evening or weekend work to address critical issues or system updates. Participation in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours support may be required. The IT Administrator will be part of a rotational schedule, operating seven days a week from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm.
