OMNES Education London School (OELS), located in Marylebone, is seeking a passionate and impact-driven Hourly Paid Lecturer to join our dynamic team. As part of the OMNES Education group, we provide a diverse and enriching learning environment for students across various disciplines. The Role:
- Teach a Public Affairs and Lobbying / Social Policy module in person from mid-September to mid-December 2026 on campus (The module is 18 hours - 1.5 hour session a week over 12 weeks).
- The module content and structure is flexible within the remit of public affairs and lobbying / social policy.
- Teach Year 3 (Level 6) International Relations students on study abroad semester.
- Design the module handbooks (a template will be provided) and all teaching-related content.
- Design and mark all assessments, providing constructive written feedback.
- Attend induction and core meetings.
- Monitor, evaluate, and assess individual student progress and achievement.
- Monitor students' attendance and maintain records.
- Deliver inclusive and high-quality teaching.
- Fully participate in the quality assurance and improvement processes and procedures.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK
- Degree and/or substantial professional experience in a relevant field
- Ability to provide excellent, personalised support and feedback to students
- Excellent level of written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent ability with Microsoft package and VLE
Desirable:
- Qualification in HE Teaching e.g. PG Cert in Learning & Teaching
- Fellowship of Advance HE
Salary:
Payment is from £90 per contact hour, depending on qualification and experience. Separate fixed payments made for:
- Attendance at the core meeting (online, 1 hour) - £50
- Module handbook preparation - 4 additional hours pay at half rate
- Large group (over 30 students), if applicable - 4 additional hours pay at half rate
