We are partnering with our client, a global leader in compact construction equipment, as they continue to expand their Service Engineering team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plant or Heavy Equipment Engineer to join a well-established service team, supporting customers and the dealer network across the UK and Ireland.
The Role
- Diagnose, fault-find, and repair plant and construction equipment
- Carry out PDI, machine preparation, and modifications
- Attend customer sites across the UK & Ireland for service and warranty support
- Provide technical advice to dealers and customers
- Complete service reports accurately and professionally
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures
About You
- Proven experience in plant or heavy equipment service engineering
- Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Proactive, reliable, and customer-focused with a 'can-do' attitude
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Flexible to travel and stay overnight when required (fully funded)
Desirable
- Experience with diagnostic systems and emission controls
- IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g. Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels)
