We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Canvey Island. This full-time, contract role provides an exciting opportunity to inspire students and develop their understanding of the world, human interaction, and environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons, aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Teach physical, human, and environmental geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential for A-Level.
  • Inspire students to analyse, evaluate, and debate geographical issues.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations, providing targeted interventions where needed.
  • Use interactive teaching methods, including fieldwork and technology, to bring geography to life.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Humanities curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalised support.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level standards.
