We have a comprehensive global network of economic, political and investment decision-makers. Our members come from both the public and private sectors and comprise some of the most well-known and respected financial and technology organisations in the world. In addition to membership, we offer bespoke meetings and research on global policy and investment themes.

OMFIF operates through four thematic institutes:

  • Economic and Monetary Policy Institute (EMP): convenes leaders from public and private sector institutions to discuss macroeconomic trends and shape the future of monetary policy and political economy.
  • Digital Monetary Institute: explores the topic of payments, including digital currency as an alternative to cash, and brings together technologists and policy-makers at the heart of decisions relating to the future of finance.
  • Sustainable Policy Institute (SPI): focuses on sustainable finance, addressing the policy, regulatory and investment challenges posed by environmental, social and governance themes with those responsible for shaping the sustainability agenda.
  • Sovereign Debt Institute: convenes issuers across the global sovereign, supranational and agency debt community for high-level, strategic and constructive dialogue on the key issues each side faces.

The role:

Reporting to the Managing Director of Operations and Marketing, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a wide range of events, ensuring their smooth execution from start to finish. This role covers logistics, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination. The Events Coordinator will work within the Events and Marketing team, which manages the operational aspects and budgets of all meetings, events and on-demand content, as well as the promotion of OMFIF, its four institutes and their outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all logistical aspects of events, including venue sourcing, booking vendor services, arranging staff travel/accommodation and troubleshooting onsite needs.
  • Ensure seamless event delivery by liaising with internal teams and providing regular updates.
  • Manage attendee registration, communications and post-event follow-up.
  • Help ensure a balanced mix of public and private sector attendees, liaising with clients and speakers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records throughout all stages of events.
  • Keep the website and internal calendars updated with event information.
  • Organise and manage virtual event platforms (e.g., Swapcard, Zoom, OMFIF Live).
  • Edit and manage event video content, as well as podcasts and other on-demand media.
  • Work with sponsors to ensure their objectives and expectations are met.
  • Attend events to oversee onsite logistics and provide operational support.
  • Conduct post-event tasks including updating CRM systems, attendee surveys, and event analysis.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce event promotional materials (e.g., speaker cards, direct emails) and maintain a strong social media presence.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, innovative and high-performing team culture.

You Have:

  • 1–2 years of experience in event coordination or a related role/degree.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM systems.
  • A proactive approach, willingness to learn and ability to take on new challenges.
