OMFIF is a dynamic and independent think tank. Through our London-based team we produce research and events on world finance and economic policy. We have a comprehensive global network of economic, political and investment decision-makers. Our members come from both the public and private sectors and comprise some of the most well-known and respected financial and technology organisations in the world. In addition to membership, we offer bespoke meetings and research on global policy and investment themes.
OMFIF operates through four thematic institutes: the Economic and Monetary Policy Institute (EMP), the Digital Monetary Institute, the Sustainable Policy Institute (SPI), and the Sovereign Debt Institute.
The role focuses on the United States and Emerging Markets (APAC, LatAm and EMEA). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, curating and delivering a high-quality programme of roundtables and policy discussions for senior policymakers and market participants, with a particular emphasis on U.S. economic and monetary policy and developments across key emerging market economies.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the content production of approximately 25–30 high-level roundtables per year (virtual and in-person).
- Researching and identifying timely and strategically relevant meeting themes aligned with EMP’s priorities.
- Drafting compelling, well-structured agendas and background briefs to frame senior-level discussions.
- Sourcing and securing high-level speakers across central banks, multilateral institutions, ministries of finance and regulatory bodies.
- Building and maintaining relationships with policymakers and senior financial market participants globally.
- Collaborating closely with events co-ordinators, marketing, editorial and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution and strong audience engagement.
- Tracking meetings, speaker engagement and stakeholder interactions via Salesforce and other CRM systems.
- Providing on-site content oversight at domestic and international events as required.
This role reports to the Senior Programme Manager and sits at the intersection of research, programming and stakeholder engagement.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in conference production, programme curation or policy-focused event programming.
- Strong interest in economics, monetary policy and financial markets.
- Excellent writing and agenda-setting skills.
- Confidence engaging senior policymakers and financial leaders.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams.
- 2:1 undergraduate degree or higher in economics, finance, international relations, politics, political economy or a related field.
- Prior experience in economics, finance, public policy or the public/third sector.
- Topic research experience.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
