We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Omexom. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and gain valuable experience in health and safety.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees.
  • Stay updated with changes in health and safety legislation and ensure the organisation remains compliant.
  • Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities.
  • Provide health and safety support for various projects within the business unit.

Person Specification

Qualifications and experience

  • A degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • A full driving license is required.

Skills, knowledge, and abilities

  • Any relevant health and safety experience or training.
  • Ability to identify and solve health and safety issues effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Understanding and applying health and safety laws and regulations is crucial.
