The OTW Quality Advisor will support the implementation and oversight of quality assurance practices across projects within the business unit. This operational and site-focused role ensures compliance with ISO standards, supports project delivery teams, and drives continuous improvement in quality performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires regular engagement with OTW quality and wider SHE teams, site project teams, subcontractors, and site-based clients to ensure that quality standards are consistently applied and maintained throughout the project/package lifecycle. Strong operational oversight is key, with robust collaboration expected with project management teams, subcontractors, and other OTW functions.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Act as the site-based quality lead for all quality-related matters across assigned GGP projects/packages.
  • Support site implementation and compliance of the Omexom Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Assist site project teams in developing and applying Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring adherence and documentation using appropriate digital systems.
  • Daily use of digital systems to schedule inspections and capture compliance, including suppliers’ quality controls, evidence, and certification documentation; plant & equipment calibration/certification; nominated resource competencies; pre/post-installation photographic evidence – SR 241 compliance; robust monitoring of inspections and ITP check sheets.
  • Capture Lessons Learnt (LL) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), supporting closure, cost analysis, and process improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of quality surveillance, inspection, and control throughout project execution.
  • Serve as the initial site focal point for all quality matters.
  • Input site data and evidence of compliance with the Quality Project Delivery Process (QPDP).
  • Report on site critical path milestones into the OTW GGP Project/Package Programmes.
  • Lead continuous development and application of robust ITPs, providing site training and best practice updates.
  • Ensure quality surveillance and control is applied using mandated digital systems.
  • Support engagement with project teams, subcontractors, and OTW functions to maintain quality standards.
  • Provide site quality inputs for weekly SR163 meetings and escalate/report key issues.
  • Support operational and tendering teams with NCR and LL integration into project planning and bid submissions.
  • Deliver site quality awareness training for new employees.
  • Mentor and support development plans for site personnel to build quality capability.
  • Create and deliver site-focused quality toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with OTW and client quality procedures and expectations.
  • Identify gaps in the QMS and site/installation activities to improve processes, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Monitor NCRs and LLs, ensuring incorporation into QPDP for continuous improvement.
  • Apply Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) principles as part of OTW Quality Team practices.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the QMS and OTW ways of working.
  • Stay informed of industry standards and best practices to elevate site quality benchmarks.

Person Specification

  • Experience in a similar quality role.
  • Working towards or holding a Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 clause 9.2).
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., CQI) preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in construction or infrastructure quality roles.
  • Experience managing non-conformances and performing root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Recognised training in site accident/incident investigation.
  • Experience supporting quality deliverables at project level.
