The Project Manager supports the Business Unit in the planning, coordination, and delivery of Overhead Line and Substation projects. This role focuses on ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all project phases. The Project Manager will work on-site as part of a collaborative team, assisting with technical tasks, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Support the Business Unit in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Assist in preparing and issuing project documentation (e.g., permits, inductions, daily diaries).
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and report Positive Interventions.
- Help coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and adherence to project plans.
- Maintain accurate records including site diaries, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Participate in Toolbox Talks, safety briefings, and setting-to-work sessions.
- Assist in identifying and managing temporary works and environmental hazards.
- Support the implementation of Omexom’s Project Delivery Process.
- Liaise with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive safety culture.
- Act as a role model for Omexom Company Values.

Qualifications and experience
- Experience in the utilities or construction industry (preferably overhead line projects).
- Engineering or safety-related qualification (or working towards one).
- Familiarity with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
- Professional attitude and commitment to high standards.
- Basic understanding of project documentation and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
