Overview of Role
Responsible for producing and handling a variety of our products for dispatch across our ever expanding customer base in the UK, ROI and Europe. This role requires a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to follow systems & procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of processes & plant equipment.
To carry out activities to ensure site targets are met, including:
- Loading of road tankers and flatbeds
- Prepping and filling of various size drums and IBCs to our customers
- Cleanliness of storage tanks; inside and out
- Washing down production plants
- Stock control of finished product
- Assisting in other areas on site as and when necessary
- Safety of yourself & colleagues
- Avoidance of environmental harm
- General Housekeeping
- Record keeping and communication
- Making sure OMEX Environmental's quality control procedures are adhered to
Key Responsibilities
- Follow written procedures and propose modifications for review when deficiencies are found.
- Report all incidents, accidents and near misses using the OMEX near miss reporting system.
- Carry out pre-use checks & routine inspections & keep detailed records.
- Maintain good levels of housekeeping.
- Report equipment breakdowns & deficiencies to your supervisor.
- Maintain records of material stock levels and communicate stock reports as required.
- Other production activities on the site, in line with competence & training.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Full UK driving license required
- Industry standard counterbalance FLT certification required
- Industry standard Telescopic handler and other Plant machinery certification, preferred but not essential
- Dedicated and loyal worker
- Ability to work flexibly, willingness to learn and help with additional tasks such as maintenance
- Must have an own personal level of quality control
- Excellent self-initiative qualities and ability to work on own
- Work within a team environment and unsupervised at times
- Ability to work under pressure during busy work periods
- Attention to detail is paramount
- Team player capable of working alongside colleagues
- Good communication skills, literacy & numeracy and excellent level of spoken English
The standard working hours are 7:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Although depending on time of year and workload, you may be required to work extra subject to management decision. Intersite travel will be required.
