About us: Omegro is a buy-and-grow acquirer of the world’s most impactful software companies. Our purpose is growth over the long term; in ourselves and our colleagues, in the businesses we acquire and operate, and in the stakeholder value we create. At Omegro we are all about finding the right people for the right role and allowing them the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of our organization. Our employees are experts in their field, passionate about what they do and always looking for new and better ways to solve our industry's problems. We offer competitive compensation and flexible working arrangements with the chance to learn from the best in the business as well as having the opportunity for professional development through learning programs and career advancement.

Position overview: As part of the Corporate Development and M&A team, this critical function is responsible for high-quality B2B account and business development activities within technology-driven enterprise asset management (EAM) verticals. This includes but is not limited to research, identification, screening, and assessment of M&A opportunities in assigned enterprise asset management software markets in Europe. Professional-level German proficiency is strongly preferred, given the responsibility for leading strategic discussions with C-suite executives in German. Every member of our team is integral to our success, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth and future success within the enterprise asset management software space. If you are passionate about M&A and are ready to contribute your skills and expertise to a dynamic, forward-thinking organization, we invite you to apply and join our team. This role can be a global role based on your background, but you are ideally based in Lyon, London or Germany and you will be reporting to the Corporate Development Manager. You’ll be part of a global team and collaborate closely with colleagues across Europe, Australia, and North America.

What you will do:

  • Drive pipeline growth and build strategic relationships across Europe.
  • You’ll develop a strong pipeline of enterprise asset management software companies by identifying and originating midmarket businesses that fit our acquisition criteria. You’ll cultivate long-term, meaningful relationships with software founders and operators of all sizes, guiding them through the M&A journey and strengthening engagement at every stage.
  • Play a key role in positioning Omegro as the acquirer of choice. In this role, you’ll creatively identify high potential vertical market software businesses that align with our strategic criteria, while confidently articulating Omegro’s unique value proposition—both verbally and in writing. You’ll help ensure Omegro remains top of mind when founders and operators consider going to market, strengthening our M&A credibility by approaching every interaction with a prospect centric, solutions driven mindset.

To succeed in this role, you will thrive in the below key areas:

  • Generating new business opportunities at the highest level – identifying, connecting, and maintaining contact with businesses regularly and developing communication opportunities throughout the year.
  • Maintaining a consistency of high-volume calls and interactions including phone/virtual meetings, conferences/tradeshows and other in-person meetings through demonstrated creativity, persistence, and credibility when interacting with owners, and C-Suite.
  • Utilising a high analytical ability to research, qualify, screen and assess acquisition targets through meaningful conversations and qualify prospects in accordance with the company’s M&A criteria.
  • Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility when interacting with owners, professional managers, corporate advisors and C-Suite resulting in lasting impressions with owners utilizing depth of business acumen to carry on engaging conversations over multiple years.
  • Creating and maintaining long lasting, trust based relationships and leading thoughtful discussions from qualification to data gathering, while consistently nurturing long-term leads through the pipeline.
  • Drive consistent pipeline growth by maximising LinkedIn and other social channels, paired with smart use of sales technologies, to actively generate and convert new leads.
  • Keeping precise CRM records and provide consistent KPI reporting across all calls, meetings, and transaction materials.
  • Working closely with the Manager of Corporate Development to identify high probability prospects looking to further explore the M&A process.

What will our ideal candidate look like? We work independently but win as a team and lose as a team. You will be energetic, collaborative, and driven to hit KPI monthly targets because of its impacts to overall team goals. You’ll work closely with the executive team to ensure the smooth transition to latter stages of the process and has a growth mindset. An exceptional communicator who confidently engages senior stakeholders. You’ll be resilient, proactive, and professional—someone who represents the company with integrity. Be driven to not only meet but exceed monthly KPIs, they thrive under pressure and consistently deliver against weekly and monthly deadlines. Highly organised and detail focused, with strong project management, time management, strategic, and analytical skills. Adaptable and calm under shifting priorities and pressure. Strong business and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of revenue models, pricing strategies, profitability, and enterprise valuation. Experience in enterprise asset management (EAM) within a technology-driven environment, gained through sales, deal origination, or M&A, is preferred but not a requirement. Fluency in English is required. German language skills are highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.

These values are important to us:

  • Growth mindset: We listen, learn and seek to improve.
