My client, a highly specialist manufacturing and assembly business, is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the business.
Role and Responsibilities – Operations Supervisor
Reporting into the Operations Manager for one of the two UK-based sites, this role will have a depth of autonomy ranging from resource allocation and management, analysis of production data, improvement activities and projects, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of a busy Operations team and the site.
- Liaising with all areas of the business as needed to ensure key requirements are captured and communicated at Project or Production level
- Identify and action improvement opportunities within both the office and factory
- Work closely with the Quality and Engineering team to ensure best practice for production, support with any non-conformances identified, and work on continuous improvement
- Directly manage the workshop ensuring roles and responsibilities are being followed
Experience or Qualifications – Operations Supervisor
- Previous experience within an Engineering or Manufacturing business operating in a team leader role
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business on a range of projects
- Experience working and coaching apprentice level staff to help build their career (desirable)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office system and IT literate
