My client, a specialist assembly and manufacturing business, is on the hunt for a tenacious Manager to join the team!
Role and Responsibilities β Graduate Design Engineer
In this role, the Junior Design Engineer will take ownership of drawing/BOM updates, change pack creation, data hygiene, documentation and provide structured support to New Product Development and NPI Activities. Other responsibilities include:
- Produce and update 3D models and 2D drawings to company standards
- Create and maintain BOM structures (new assemblies and sustaining updates)
- Track actions and ensure engineering documentation is complete before release
- Draft first versions of work instructions, test report shells, assembly notes, supplier pack cover sheets and other engineering documents
Experience or Qualifications β Graduate Design Engineer
- Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Experience with CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo or similar) and producing production drawings
- Familiarity with BOMs/ERP concepts (beneficial, not essential)
- Any exposure to manufacturing processes (welding, assembly, machining etc..)
