Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
- Delivering planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across site
- Diagnosing faults on both mechanical and electrical systems, including motors and drives
- Responding to breakdowns quickly to maximise uptime and minimise disruption
- Carrying out repairs and inspections on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase OEE and productivity
- Working closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules
- Recording all maintenance activities within the CMMS system
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
- Supporting wider team activities, including holiday and absence cover
Experience & Qualifications - Maintenance Engineer
- Time-served, multi-skilled engineering background (mechanical bias preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience working within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems (PPM/TPM)
- Understanding of hydraulics and industrial systems
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience with CNC machinery
- Exposure to lean manufacturing tools (5S, TPM, continuous improvement)
