Omega is working in partnership with a well-established and fast-growing engineering components supplier to recruit a Hydraulic Technical Sales Representative for their Ipswich-based operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and technically minded sales professional with experience in hydraulic products or engineering components to join a dynamic team and support the company's ambitious growth across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong customer relationships by providing expert technical advice and tailored product solutions.
- Manage customer enquiries from both office-based and field settings, ensuring high-quality support and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners across Europe and Asia to address quality issues and customer applications.
- Deliver accurate quotations and product recommendations based on in-depth technical understanding.
- Maintain up-to-date and detailed customer information within the company CRM system.
- Contribute to the development of bespoke solutions and offer after-sales support services where required.
- Support Directors and senior management with ad hoc tasks and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in hydraulic sales or a technical sales role within an engineering sector.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to build lasting customer relationships.
- A proactive and hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Sales-focused with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.
- Strong attention to detail and capable of working independently.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook essential).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business is beneficial but not essential.
