I am looking for experienced Quality Inspectors with an Engineering background. Are you an experienced Quality professional? Are you looking to progress your career and work in an industrious and thriving environment? My client is a market leader in their field and are looking for experienced Quality Inspectors to join their expanding team in Gloucestershire.

The Quality Inspector’s key responsibilities will be:

  • To ensure the conformance of products and processes to relevant specifications and standards and complete and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner according to the Company requirements.
  • Timely Inspections
  • Dimensional Reports (where applicable)
  • To raise non-conformance reports where any items or processes do not conform to standards or specifications/drawings.
  • Using recognised quality control measuring techniques/equipment where manufacturing processes are tightly controlled to ensure the products meet agreed standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring that good housekeeping is maintained within all areas.
  • To support the promotion of continuous improvement processes within the inspection team for the benefit of the Company (under the supervision of the Inspection Team Leader and/or UK QHSE Lead).
  • Ensure all quality control measuring equipment is in calibration when used.

The successful candidate for the Quality Inspector vacancy will come from an engineering environment and have experience in the following:

  • NDE Reports
  • Manufacturing Route Cards
  • Goods Receiving Notes
  • Non-conformance reports
  • Work instructions/procedures
  • Raw materials certification
  • Calibration of inspection equipment
  • Factory Acceptance Test Certificates
  • Hydrostatic Test inspection

Relevant qualifications & Experience – Quality Inspector:

  • Time Served Apprentice
  • Engineering qualification is essential, preferably ONC, HNC or equivalent.
  • Qualified in DPI, MPI, UT is desirable.
  • Experience in PMI, Ferrite & Hardness Testing is desirable.
  • Work to high standards of quality, within a strong safety culture and a good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 is desirable.
  • Fully experienced with all inspection/measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges and hardness checking equipment.
  • Fully experienced in reading and understanding Engineering drawings (component and assembly).
  • Experience of using a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (manual & CNC) and/or Inspection Arm is desirable.
  • Conversant with materials certification.
