We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s team at their state-of-the-art facility based in Tewkesbury on a contract basis. Our client designs and manufactures complex mechanical products for global application in the aerospace and defence sectors. The focus on this position will be to manage day-to-day operational quality challenges that arise during production and manufacturing.

Duties:

  • Defect investigations / root cause analysis / 8D Investigations
  • Corrective action / improvement introduction
  • Responsibility for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities
  • Quality systems maintenance and improvement, where required
  • Support the planning and delivery of quality activities
  • Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities across manufacturing
  • Help ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001)

Background:

  • Strong problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D, RCCA)
  • Experience of working in an AS9100 environment
  • Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA
  • Experience in supporting Production and Manufacturing
