My client, a specialist manufacturing and assembly business, have a brand new opportunity for a talented Operations Manager to join the team!
Role and Responsibilities – Operations Manager
In this role, you will be a core member of the management team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the businesses UK HQ. This will mean being responsible for developing and improving all functions related to assembly and manufacturing for the site. Other responsibilities include:
- Management and oversight of Production, Materials, Planning, Facilities, Continuous Improvement & Logistics
- Setting the vision and objectives for the Operations function whilst motivating, mentoring and coaching colleagues to develop into a high performing team.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to all operational processes to continually drive improvement, reduce waste and increase performance against set objectives.
- Strive toward best practice in the manufacturing environment by coaching managers and teams in areas such as 5S, safety principles, process optimisation and a customer first mindset.
Experience or Qualifications – Operations Manager
- Proven experience within an operations management environment from the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
- A highly organised individual that can lead by example and has demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills and enacted real business change in previous roles.
- Level headed in fast moving situations with the ability to deal with multiple complex issues from a workshop environment.
- Previous knowledge of heavy assembly and painting processes advantageous.
