  • NO NIGHTS – do you want to come off shifts and workday patterns? Monday to Friday 8 hours rotating?
  • Pay Range: £46K plus overtime, OTE £50K+

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

  • Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production
  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment
  • Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum
  • You'll work with conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical fitting
  • Fault-finding to basic welding
  • Leading electrical and instrumentation, repair, and working with s CMMS
  • Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults
  • Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
  • Could you complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as assigned?
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.

Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering
  • Manufacturing Industry experience, heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.
  • Knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes couplings general mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essential
  • Routine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule
  • Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous
  • Fitting, Fabricating and Welding experience preferred
  • A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
