The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

Location: Runcorn area, Cheshire, South bank of the River Mersey, commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool etc.

Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Pay Range: £60k plus extensive package, overtime and market-leading pension £70k realistic.

Our client is a large Global manufacturer with a global footprint. It is an established site undergoing £MM investment with an established engineering team. Staff retention is excellent. Training, development, and support are provided on a manufacturing site. You will help the site make high-quality processed products. This is a unique opportunity to join an established, highly profitable secure site.

We are looking to attract a talented, experienced mechanical bias engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing effective and efficient mechanical planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production
  • Leading mechanical breakdowns working with CMMS
  • Continual improvement projects
  • Ownership and development of specific production line maintenance
  • Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults
  • Design, trial, and implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
  • Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Apprentice trained ideal, or NVQ level 3 / HNC in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering
  • Manufacturing Industry experience essential, open on industry background
  • Fitting, Fabricating and Welding experience preferred
  • Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, robots and extraction systems is desirable
  • Experience in computerised maintenance management systems
  • A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
