Omega is supporting a leading fire protection contractor in the recruitment of an experienced Fire Sprinkler Installer to work across a range of commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, modification, testing, and commissioning of fire sprinkler systems in line with design specifications, relevant standards, and project requirements. They will work closely with project managers, site teams, and other trades to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, contributing to projects being delivered on time and in full compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities include:
- Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial properties in accordance with approved drawings and fire codes.
- Assemble, cut, thread, groove, and join sprinkler pipework and system components.
- Install sprinkler heads, valves, hangers, alarms, and associated equipment.
- Conduct hydrostatic testing, system flushing, and assist with commissioning activities.
- Diagnose faults and carry out corrective works on new and existing systems.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant fire safety standards, regulations, and site health & safety requirements.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, project teams, and other trades to ensure timely and quality installation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems on commercial projects.
- Sound knowledge of applicable fire protection standards and codes (e.g. NFPA, LPCB, FM Global, BS/EN, or local equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Valid site safety certification and strong understanding of health & safety practices.
