Our client is a market leading Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer, seeking a maintenance manager to join their team. The role will be responsible for the maintenance of site machinery as well as managing a team of maintenance engineers around their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take direction from Site Services manager
  • Direct and develop maintenance technicians
  • Support other group leaders / department managers’ needs
  • Address concerns raised by work team members and provide feedback
  • Escalate serious concerns on machines and equipment immediately to operations manager
  • Respect company systems and procedures
  • Respect customer quality standards
  • TPM system defined and operating to include corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance
  • FMEA to identify all critical parts
  • Tool maintenance and improvement request system in place
  • Maintenance workshop and stores 5S system in place
  • Reporting format designed and data recording in place
  • Bi-annual PDR with team members
  • Safe systems of work defined
  • Report daily performance information into operations review meeting
  • Establish library of drawings and manuals for all machines and auxiliary equipment
  • PDCA action plans reviewed weekly

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical qualification – maintenance
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems
  • Team leadership experience
  • Strong organisational skills and a systems approach
  • Knowledge of injection and paint process
  • Experience of working with service suppliers
