Our client is a market leading Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer, seeking a maintenance manager to join their team. The role will be responsible for the maintenance of site machinery as well as managing a team of maintenance engineers around their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take direction from Site Services manager
- Direct and develop maintenance technicians
- Support other group leaders / department managers’ needs
- Address concerns raised by work team members and provide feedback
- Escalate serious concerns on machines and equipment immediately to operations manager
- Respect company systems and procedures
- Respect customer quality standards
- TPM system defined and operating to include corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance
- FMEA to identify all critical parts
- Tool maintenance and improvement request system in place
- Maintenance workshop and stores 5S system in place
- Reporting format designed and data recording in place
- Bi-annual PDR with team members
- Safe systems of work defined
- Report daily performance information into operations review meeting
- Establish library of drawings and manuals for all machines and auxiliary equipment
- PDCA action plans reviewed weekly
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical qualification – maintenance
- Electrical and/or Mechanical experience
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems
- Team leadership experience
- Strong organisational skills and a systems approach
- Knowledge of injection and paint process
- Experience of working with service suppliers
