Our client is a well-established global manufacturing organisation operating across multiple international sites. They are a recognised leader within their sector and are looking to add a Maintenance Engineer to support their growing UK operation. This role offers long-term stability, exposure to modern manufacturing equipment, and the opportunity to work within a safety-focused, high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer

  • Respond to day-to-day maintenance issues and machinery breakdowns
  • Fault find and repair production machinery, robotics and plant equipment
  • Plan and carry out preventative maintenance activities
  • Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment efficiency and uptime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when specialist support is required
  • Manage spare parts, consumables and maintenance stock levels
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime
  • Ensure statutory inspections, testing and compliance requirements are met
  • Assist with planning maintenance coverage across machinery and ancillary equipment

Qualifications / Experience - Maintenance Engineer

  • Time-served engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Background in plastics or injection moulding maintenance highly desirable
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work
  • Organised, proactive and able to work under pressure
  • Confident communicator able to work at all levels of the business
