You will lead and develop the site operational teams, inspiring a shared vision, developing and implementing formal development plans. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take full responsibility for site performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
Role & Responsibilities – Factory General Manager
- Take full ownership of a manufacturing site, complex and automated.
- Move from department leadership into full site accountability.
- Build your profile with senior leadership.
- Develop your career towards the Operations Director level.
- Create a high-performance, high-accountability culture.
- Driving operational improvements across output, efficiency and cost.
- Developing your management team and succession pipeline.
- Leading engineering and production as one aligned operation.

Role Requirements, Skills & Experience - Factory General Manager
This role is ideal for someone who has already proven themselves in running a large part of a factory and is now ready for full-site leadership. You might currently be a:
- Manufacturing Manager
- Operations Manager
- Factory Manager
- Senior Production Manager in a large complex site, ready to step up!
You’ll likely bring:
- FMCG, Food, Beverage or fast-paced life sciences manufacturing experience.
- Strong leadership of both production and engineering functions.
- Evidence of improving performance and developing teams.
- A hands-on, visible leadership style.
- The ambition to progress into senior operational leadership.
- The credibility to lead an established site leadership team.
- Experience of working within a high-volume, complex manufacturing environment.
- Experience in driving CI/OpEx initiatives.
