We have a rare opportunity for a highly accomplished Senior level Electronic Engineer to join a prominent Aerospace business in the Gloucestershire area. You will need to be competent in all areas of Electronic Engineering to lead in this hands-on role and deliver an exciting stream of work for the commercial aviation sector. Ideally you will have a bias towards digital electronics; analogue experience and exposure equally sought. This is a new role that will require a proactive and driven individual to take charge from the offset, and operate in a senior leadership role.

Duties:

  • Lead the technical development of aerospace hardware for primary and secondary control systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to electrical and electronic engineers covering project scope.
  • Lead in all areas including across architecture, design, requirements, and certification testing.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, software, and mechanical teams.

Background:

  • Proven experience in electronic design engineering within aerospace or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electronic architecture, certification standards, and safety-critical systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical mentoring and project oversight.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes (US, China, Across UK).
