Omega are supporting a growing UK business in their search for a Service Manager with strong HVAC and refrigeration experience. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing service and maintenance operations across commercial and industrial environments, ensuring efficient delivery of planned and reactive works. The business has over 25 years of experience delivering HVAC solutions and is part of a wider, rapidly expanding technical services group. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving service standards, leading engineers, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the service division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to engineers including fault finding, diagnostics, and guidance on HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Manage and coordinate service engineers to deliver planned and reactive maintenance works effectively
- Prepare quotations for installation and remedial works
- Oversee maintenance agreements, service contracts, and renewals
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, resolving issues and maintaining strong relationships
- Monitor service delivery to ensure performance against SLAs and quality standards
- Manage stock, parts, tools, and service vehicles to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations including RAMS and F-Gas requirements
- Support, mentor, and supervise engineers to improve performance and service delivery
- Work closely with internal teams including operations, finance, and procurement
Requirements:
Essential:
- F-Gas Category 1 Certification
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- 5–10 years’ hands-on HVAC experience including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, and ventilation
- Experience coordinating engineers or managing service workloads
- Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Service Manager or Senior Engineer role
- Experience managing maintenance contracts and service agreements
- Knowledge of fleet or asset management systems
- Strong understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance
