Location: Cheltenham / Gloucestershire

Pay Range/details: £40,000 per annum + overtime

Omega are supporting a rapidly growing UK-based energy company that specialises in advanced energy efficiency and monitoring solutions, in their search for a Installation Electrician to cover the M5 corridor.

As a Installation Electrician, you’ll be out on the road, visiting a variety of customer sites across different industries, with regular travel and overnight stays when required. You’ll be hands-on, installing cutting-edge metering and control systems that make a real difference by helping businesses save energy, reduce costs, and lower their carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities – Installation Electrician

  • Carry out the installation of state-of-the-art 3-phase metering and control systems at commercial sites across the UK.
  • Support internal teams by gathering on-site data and assisting with energy analysis to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Travel regularly to customer locations, including overnight stays, ensuring timely and professional delivery of installations.
  • Keep van stock organized, tools maintained, and ensure all installations are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Represent the company on-site by liaising with clients, ensuring clear communication and a positive customer experience throughout the installation process.

Qualifications & Requirements – Installation Electrician

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification (essential).
  • Proven experience installing or maintaining 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and compliance standards.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Willingness to travel nationwide with regular overnight stays.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing time on the road.
  • Previous experience in energy monitoring, building controls, or commercial metering.
