The Role –

Senior Product Development Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for an analytical Senior Mechanical Engineering professional to join a prominent global aerospace business in a Senior Engineering position.

You will be responsible for leading the development of innovative aerospace products throughout the product lifecycle, including design, development, testing and qualification.

You’ll be joining a fantastic team in a purpose-built modern facility where you’ll be able to showcase your skills and expertise in a highly technical and challenging product development role.

Duties

  • Senior Product Development Engineer
  • Technical development of products from concept through to flight qualification.
  • Translating customer requirements into robust engineering solutions.
  • Supporting the design and development of high-performance aerospace components.
  • Coordinating technical activities and engineering deliverables.
  • Leading technical investigations and problem-solving activities.
  • Coordinating development and qualification testing.
  • Working with cross functional engineering departments to deliver success.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to developing engineers.

  • Senior Product Development Engineer
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace or related Engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience developing complex engineered products.
  • Able to lead technical activities across product development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of verification, validation and qualification testing.
  • Experience with hydraulic or electrohydraulic systems (Desirable)
  • Experience using Siemens NX or similar CAD software.
  • Experience using analysis tools such as Mathcad, CFD, and FEA.
  • Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes.
