Join a leading manufacturer of bespoke automated machinery as an Electrical Controls Design Engineer, where your designs power cutting-edge automated systems used by major brands worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop equipment concepts, schemes, and detailed designs (GA drawings, BOMs, panel layouts)
- Produce PLC, HMI, servo, and robot code (Rockwell RSLogix & Siemens essential)
- Create clear, accurate, cost-effective technical documentation
- Test and commission electrical/control systems
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers
- Support worldwide customer sites – installation, commissioning, troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with H&S, ISO, and CE Marking standards
Experience/Qualifications:
- BSc or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years electrical design experience (packaging/automation preferred)
- 2+ years in similar controls design role
- Strong AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
- Proven PLC programming & servo/robotics experience
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Full driving licence & passport – willing to travel globally
