Join a leading manufacturer of bespoke automated machinery as an Electrical Controls Design Engineer, join a leader in innovative packaging machinery, where your designs power cutting-edge automated systems used by major brands worldwide.

Key Responsibilities – Electrical Controls Design Engineer

  • Develop equipment concepts, schemes, and detailed designs (GA drawings, BOMs, panel layouts)
  • Produce PLC, HMI, servo, and robot code (Rockwell RSLogix & Siemens essential)
  • Create clear, accurate, cost-effective technical documentation
  • Test and commission electrical/control systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Support worldwide customer sites – installation, commissioning, troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, ISO, and CE Marking standards

Experience/Qualifications – Electrical Controls Design Engineer

  • BSc or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
  • 5+ years electrical design experience (packaging/automation preferred)
  • 2+ years in similar controls design role
  • Strong AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
  • Proven PLC programming & servo/robotics experience
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Full driving licence & passport – willing to travel globally
