We are currently recruiting for a Drives, Controls and Site Engineer required to join a leading repair and maintenance business, supporting the efficient operation of drives and controls equipment. The Drives, Controls and Site Engineer will play a key role in diagnostics, repair, refurbishment, and onsite customer support, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding on drives and controls equipment
- Interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Perform repair and refurbishment in line with company and manufacturer procedures
- Conduct testing and quality assurance following repairs
- Record work carried out, diagnostics, labour, and parts via internal systems
- Provide onsite support including fault investigation and equipment removal
- Collaborate with engineers and management to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in diagnostics and repair of drives and controls equipment
- Strong understanding of electronic systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and technical schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Technical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or HND desirable
- Knowledge of OEM standards and PLC programming advantageous
