We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a busy industrial site in Heanor on an initial 3-month contract.
This is an Outside IR35 assignment offering excellent rates and the potential for ongoing work.
The role is heavily mechanically biased, focusing on valves, pumps, pipework, mechanical repairs, and plant maintenance, with occasional basic electrical fault-finding support.
Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Maintenance Technician Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
Diagnose faults and complete strip-downs, repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds of valves, pumps, and mechanical assemblies.
Perform repairs and maintenance on pipework, fittings, and associated mechanical systems.
Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Assist with basic electrical fault-finding on motors, sensors, and control equipment when required.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification activities across site.
Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
