Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of a Water Hygiene Technician assist in the delivery of an effective national water hygiene service to ensure statutory responsibilities are met and providing a safe working environments for employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities – Water Hygiene Technician:
- Inspect and clean cold water storage tanks and associated systems.
- Carry out and complete site-specific Legionella risk assessment review reports.
- Undertake cleaning and chlorination of tanks and systems, often outside of trading hours.
- Appropriately sample CWSTs, cold outlets, and hot water systems.
- Audit compliance folders to ensure routine jobs are completed to standard.
- Communicate with site management and operations teams regarding all work carried out.
- Complete all documentation and registers on arrival and departure from each site.
- Report non-compliance with water regulations and raise remedial work requests as required.
- Plan and deliver scheduled site reviews, ensuring all visits are completed within agreed timescales.
- Support night shift teams and maintain daily communication with line management.
Qualifications & Requirements – Water Hygiene Technician:
- Demonstrable experience within water hygiene or a similar field service environment.
- Strong knowledge of water hygiene and Legionella control procedures.
- Previous experience conducting Legionella risk assessments, water sampling, and tank inspections.
- Experience in cleaning and chlorination of water systems.
- Awareness of water regulations and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and IT skills for documentation and reporting.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight where required.
- Physically fit and able to work at height and in confined spaces.
