The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Buyer required by an industry leading engineering company, which is busy and growing. The successful Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and selecting new suppliers and managing existing supplier performance.
Main Duties:
- Raising requests for quotation and purchase orders.
- Supporting with demand, supply and fulfilment planning.
- Managing stock levels and purchasing in line with manufacturing demands.
- Ensuring that information within the ERP system is up to date.
- Liaising with the engineering team and providing updates.
- Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts and cost savings.
- Managing lead times and monitoring supplier performance.
- Sourcing new suppliers and managing the supplier onboarding process.
- Meeting with suppliers to resolve performance issues.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous purchasing experience gained in an engineering or manufacturing or equivalent environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical with an aptitude for figures.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
