Buyer (Aftermarket) Wolverhampton Permanent Competitive Salary plus benefits The Role – Buyer (Aftermarket) Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for your next opportunity? We are working on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Wolverhampton that is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their team. As a Buyer in the Aftermarkets segment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless supply and delivery of bespoke parts and components to support the production and repair team. Duties – Buyer (Aftermarket) Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products in line with customer demand and inventory targets Liaise with suppliers to manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials are available to meet production deadlines Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and adjust planning as necessary Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement Identify potential supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to avoid disruption Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures Maintain accurate records of purchases, materials, and suppliers Background – Buyer (Aftermarket) Proven experience of procurement in a mechanical manufacturing environment Strong understanding of production planning, materials management, and inventory control Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for planning and procurement Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities A proactive and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams What we can offer – Buyer (Aftermarket) Opportunities for career development and progression within a leading manufacturer Competitive salary and benefits package 33 Days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays) Access to mental health support and expert financial advice Free parking and access to electric car charging Life Assurance and a Company Pension Contribution starting at 6% Employee Share Options Candidates who currently are Buyers, procurement specialists, Purchasing Executives, Planners, Schedulers, Sourcing Specialists, Purchasing Leads, Senior Buyers, and similar might be suitable for this position.
