A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a proactive Logistics Specialist to join its Supply Chain team based in Maldon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review sales orders and coordinate inbound and outbound shipment bookings alongside Customer Service and Planning teams.
  • Manage UK and export shipments via road, sea, and air freight, including groupage consignments.
  • Create detailed loading plans to maximise vehicle and container utilisation.
  • Maintain and update daily warehouse loading schedules, ensuring clear communication of any changes.
  • Generate inventory picking instructions in line with shipment requirements.
  • Obtain, compare, and analyse carriage quotations to support commercial decision-making.
  • Maintain transport and shipping cost records and spreadsheets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across logistics activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries regarding export procedures and transport arrangements.
  • Ensure correct application of Incoterms and compliance with export documentation requirements.
  • Prepare and verify export paperwork and carriage documentation.
  • Monitor supplier, carrier, and 3PL performance, implementing corrective actions where required.
