Position: CNC Machinist

Location: Gloucester

Type of work: permanent

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Hours of work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday between 7:00 am and 05:00 pm

We are now seeking a CNC setter to work for an Engineering & Manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC milling and CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls to manufacture precision engineering products. The appropriate candidate would be trained on offline programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls
  • Working on technical engineering drawings
  • Working with aluminium and stainless steel
  • Ability to use measuring tools
  • Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometres.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, previous experience in setting and operating CNC Milling and CNC lathes machines with Fanuc controls
  • Ability to change tools and adjust offsets
  • Ability to use measuring tools
  • Willing to learn offline programming
