I am currently supporting a fast-paced, highly automated FMCG manufacturing site in the Wrexham area with an urgent requirement for a Production Planner / Scheduler to join on a temporary contract basis, minimum 3 months ongoing. This is a key position within a high-volume process and packaging environment, where accurate planning and agile scheduling are critical to maintaining maximum operational efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules aligned to customer demand and service levels.
- Sequence production across automated processes and packaging lines to optimise efficiency and minimise changeovers.
- Manage capacity planning, line utilisation, and bottlenecks within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate materials availability, packaging requirements, and production priorities.
- Support planning for promotions, seasonal demand, and NPD launches.
- Liaise with operations, engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure plan adherence.
- Monitor and adjust schedules in real-time to respond to changes.
