Job Title: Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer Location: Manchester based Flexible / Field-Based (UK travel as required) Pay Range/details: Circa £60,(Apply online only) OTE Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking an experienced Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities - Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer Install and commission CNC machine tools and automation equipment Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and CNC control faults Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing Fault-find on CNC systems, servo drives, spindle drives, motors, PLCs, and safety circuits Support troubleshooting of CNC controls including Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK and Fanuc Interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical documentation Backup and restore CNC parameters and machine data Perform machine testing, calibration, and operational verification Provide technical support and training to customers Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly Liaise with internal departments regarding parts and technical issues Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site procedures Qualifications & Requirements - Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer Proven experience servicing and repairing CNC machine tools Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills Hands-on experience with CNC controls including Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK and Fanuc Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Solid knowledge of servo systems, AC/DC drives, PLCs, and machine safety circuits Experience using electrical test equipment and OEM diagnostic tools Ability to work independently in a field-based environment Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel with overnight stays HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is desirable PLC programming knowledge (Siemens STEP 7 / TIA Portal) is advantageous What we can offer - Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer Competitive salary circa £60,(Apply online only) OTE Overtime opportunities Company vehicle Pension scheme Private healthcare Company bonus scheme Training and manufacturer courses Tools, laptop, and mobile phone provided Expenses covered weekly Hotel and fuel cards For more information on this role, please contact Charlie Boulton on (phone number removed) or send a copy of your CV to (url removed).
