Financial Controller Worcester Permanent Up to £60,000 Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the company, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting and statutory compliance. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a key leadership position offering broad responsibility across management accounting, payroll, cashflow, project accounting and team management. Main Duties – Financial Controller Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting Leading and developing the accounts team Overseeing weekly and monthly payroll processes Managing PAYE, pension schemes and associated compliance activities Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns Cashflow forecasting and cash management Monthly project analysis and profitability reporting Oversight of credit control, sales ledger and purchase ledger functions Managing project accounting Supporting annual audit processes and tax compliance requirements Partnering with the Finance Director on business improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Financial Controller ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification Previous experience managing a finance function within an SME environment Strong management accounting and financial control experience Advanced Excel skills and experience using Sage 50 Knowledge of MRP systems, stock accounting and WIP calculations Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial or equivalent environment A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills What we are able to offer: Financial Controller Flexibility with working hours Health cash plan If you are already a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner, Senior Management Accountant you may also be suitable for this role.
