We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and practical Senior HR Advisor to join our award winning, specialist manufacturing client. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting approximately 120 employees. The successful candidate will need to be confident providing HR advice to managers, with a strong understanding of UK employment law and fair process. They must also be willing to support with routine HR tasks such as taking sickness calls, updating clocking-in records, maintaining HR systems and preparing HR documentation. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and who is comfortable moving between practical HR administration and more complex advisory work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day HR administration
- Complex employee relations work (including sickness absence, performance, disciplinary grievance, capability and probation matters)
- Support onboarding and leaver processes, including contracts and documentation
- Support health, safety, wellbeing, and training activities
- Provide clear HR communication and general administrative support to managers and employees
- Monitor holiday usage to ensure fair and consistent application
Qualifications & Requirements:
- CIPD Level 5 Qualification
- Strong understanding of UK Employment Law
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience of working within a fast-paced factory environment
- Discretion, integrity, and professionalism
- Willing to travel between sites
