Omega are supporting an industry leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems in their search for skilled and self-motivated Sprinkler Design Engineer who can produce high-quality project designs. The right Sprinkler Design Engineer will work closely with the project team to ensure that all designs are completed on time and meet the project's technical submission standards. This role also involves mentoring junior team members and participating in design meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities – Sprinkler Design Engineer
- Production and design responsibility of fire protection sprinkler system installation drawings and coordination models.
- Production of hydraulic calculations.
- Onsite surveying, where necessary.
- Attend coordination meetings within the wider clients' task team.
- Carry out checks to ensure designs are compliant to the relevant standards and project specifications.
- Mentor junior members of the design department.
Qualifications & Requirements – Sprinkler Design Engineer
- Minimum of 5 Years experience in the design of fire protection sprinkler systems.
- Must be experienced in producing technical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit sheets.
- Experience in the production of the hydraulic calculations using the Canute FHC design software.
- Knowledge of LPC Sprinkler Rules is essential.
- Minimum of LCPB Basic Design Qualification. LPCB Intermediate and FHC Design Qualifications would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of FM and NFPA standards would be advantageous.
