Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the search for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their industrial engineering division. This role places you at the forefront of service and maintenance across a portfolio of industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring critical plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. You'll take responsibility for the servicing, repair, and optimisation of refrigeration assets on customer sites, while also supporting HVAC equipment that incorporates refrigeration circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the correct servicing and maintenance of refrigeration systems, including heavy commercial and industrial applications such as CO2, DX, and chilled water systems.
- Work closely with the Service Admin team, Service Supervisors, and fellow Senior Service Engineers to ensure all systems meet required client specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure client systems operate at optimum performance levels to support site operational requirements.
- Always maintain safe systems of work while carrying out service, maintenance, and performance checks.
- Call out - 1 in 440 hours a week.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ/C&G refrigeration qualification.
- C&G 2079 / CITB refrigerant handling certificate / F Gas Category 1.
- Strong refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and apply relevant H&S legislation.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Self-motivated, professional and able to work at heights using access equipment.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
