A great opportunity to join a successful manufacturing business located in beautiful Cornwall. They are looking for a skilled CNC machinist (Programmer Setter Operator level) to supplement their team in a role that has arisen through growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, Setting and operating a variety of CNC Machinery using Mazak control systems to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications.
  • Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements.
  • General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled.
  • Maintain your area to a high standard.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering – nice to have.
  • General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled - essential.
  • +2 years CNC experience (preferably Mazak machines).
  • Ability to understand CNC programming language and modify programmes as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents to check and inspect finished components for defects.
