We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Engineer to support a planned 2-week shutdown at a busy manufacturing facility producing buildings FMCG products. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanical maintenance fitter with a strong manufacturing maintenance background to work as part of a shutdown team carrying out machinery modifications, planned maintenance activities, repairs, and improvement works across a large production site.

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Fitter – Contract Shutdown

  • Carrying out planned mechanical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
  • Assisting with machinery modifications and installation work.
  • Replacing and refurbishing mechanical components during shutdown activities.
  • Supporting improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Working safely within shut-down schedules and maintenance plans.
  • Collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to complete work within project timelines.
