We have a fantastic opportunity for a rounded Test Development Engineer to join a thriving engineering and manufacturing business in Gloucestershire. As a Test Equipment Engineer, you'll support a number of areas including Test Equipment Design, Development, build, commissioning and maintenance. Being a medium sized business, this role would suit someone who wants wide role coverage and an opportunity to develop in across these areas combining hands on support with technical engineering capability.
Duties:
- Designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems internally.
- Developing equipment for both product introductions (NPI) and ongoing production.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing test.
- Investigating and resolving test-related issues affecting manufacturing.
- Collaborating with wider engineering teams to ensure effective test coverage.
- Analysing test data to identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Developing technical documentation, work instructions, and support materials.
Background:
- Experience in design and build of electronic test equipment.
- Hardware development and integration focused on measurement capability.
- Embedded C, Python experience desirable.
- LabVIEW application development exposure.
- Experience realising test system design concepts with CAD (SolidWorks or similar).
- A good understanding of electronic test methods and fault finding.
