Overview

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join a busy and forward-thinking manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for setting and running moulding production orders, ensuring consistent high-quality output. You'll play a key role in achieving Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing, working with advanced moulding techniques and standardised processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirements
  • Run production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shift
  • Respond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actions
  • Carry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and tooling
  • Control and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checks
  • Support supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a Supervisor
  • Prepare auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures, and assembly machines
  • Perform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defects
  • Carry out first-line troubleshooting of process and quality issues
  • Ensure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stock
  • Support tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projects
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience within an Injection Moulding environment
  • Good knowledge of modern injection moulding machinery, robotics, tooling, finishing equipment, printing, assembling
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding Technician
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability
  • Experience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation
