My client, a global engineering business, is on the hunt for a Generator Mechanic to join their team!

Role and Responsibilities – Generator Mechanic

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting equipment returning from projects for customers, ensuring the equipment is meeting safety standards for field reuse. Other responsibilities include:

  • Producing survey reports, conducting maintenance and servicing, providing technical support to other trades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Providing technical advice and support to other trades regarding fault investigation and generator-related matters.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Engineering Hygiene, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices in a hazardous environment.
  • Conducting training and mentoring of apprentices.

Experience or Qualifications – Generator Mechanic

  • Recognised and accredited trade qualifications of City & Guilds standards or above.
  • Proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on both mechanical and electrical components.
  • Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Competent computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams), and the ability to learn new software systems.
