Position: QA Technician

Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire

Salary: £27,000- £29,000

Working hours: Weekly rotation

  • Week 1 Monday to Friday 05:30- 14:00
  • Week 2 Monday to Friday 09:30- 18:00

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join one of the UK’s leading FMCG companies, based in the heart of Stroud. This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the site. The position is well suited to individuals with a background in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline, who are confident working within a regulated FMCG environment and committed to upholding high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities – QA Technician
  • Support the safe and compliant production of finished products to the required quality standards, working effectively both independently and as part of the team.
  • Work with all areas of the factory to improve efficiency and reduce process loss.
  • Challenge any deviations from standards to strengthen a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Work to and comply with all established Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Maintain a strong H&S culture within the Quality function.
  • Support delivery of site requirements across H&S, Quality, People, Delivery and Cost.
  • Monitor microbiological requirements for finished products and plant hygiene.
  • Ensure COSHH documentation is reviewed and updated as required.
  • Lead microbiological non-conformity investigations in line with CAPA requirements.
  • Engage in Lean Manufacturing and CI initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements – QA Technician
  • Degree-level education (Food Science, Microbiology or equivalent) or equivalent experience in a Quality Team.
  • Experience conducting microbiological and/or chemical testing.
  • Experience working with SOPs and managing controlled documentation.
  • Understanding of drinks manufacturing processes (ideal).
  • Ability to manage laboratory systems and maintain compliance.
  • Skilled in investigating quality issues and supporting corrective actions.
  • Capable of collaborating across multi-functional manufacturing teams.
